Project updates

We want to keep local residents, partners and other stakeholders informed about the development of the biomethane project(s) near Legnica. On this page we will publish updates when there is relevant progress to report.

Project Update #3, 2026, August 31 :

Basic Design and Development Progress:

EFMAN has completed the Basic Design for the Krotoszyce biomethane project, with a planned production capacity of approximately 19 MW / 150 GWh per year. GAZ-SYSTEM’s connection process, the EIA procedure, feedstock contracting and digestate offtake preparations are progressing in parallel, with the Environmental Decision targeted for December 2026.

Project update #2, 2026, July 31 st:

Land secured and project development progressing
EFMAN has secured 10.5 ha of land through notarial pre-sale agreements. GAZ-SYSTEM has confirmed the possibility of connection, while the EIA is scheduled for submission in August and the Environmental Decision is expected in December 2026.

Project update #1, 2026, June 5th:

Meeting with landowners
Efman will meet with the mayor and local landowners in June to discuss and agree on a suitable project location in the Legnica area. The aim is to reach an agreement on reserving the land for the project.
